Chef Ruby El Chaer and Nahla Atié
We're thrilled to have Chef Ruby El Chaer and Nahla Atié join forces for our upcoming communal table dinner—a love letter to the land. Ruby, hailing from the charming village of Beino in Northern Lebanon, is a Cordon Bleu graduate whose culinary journey has taken her through some of the world's most exciting kitchens. From BARON Beirut to head chef at Kizmet Dubai, and even an internship at the 2-Michelin-starred KOKS in the Faroe Islands, Ruby’s rich experience speaks volumes. She’s led the launch of Depachika, the UAE's first premium food hall, and steered BARON Dubai at EXPO2020, earning a spot in the MENA’s top 50 restaurants. Ruby also co-founded “à la greque,” a Greek eatery in Time Out Market Dubai. Her passion for Middle Eastern cuisine has been deeply inspired by collaborations with some of the region’s best chefs, including the late Greg Maalouf. Nahla Atié, the Creative Director and Head of Strategy for The Lighthouse Group, is a gourmand at heart with a deep love for all things F&B. Born in Beirut Also from Baino, Nahla shifted from a career in private banking to business strategy, creating value for lifestyle brands. When she’s not steering brand strategies, she explores her passion for ceramics, having launched her own pottery collection, n/a ceramics, in 2019.
