I initially moved here to help launch Jameel Arts Centre and became the director of public programmes and parternships. After 6 years, priorities shifted with becoming a mother and flexibility became a factor in work, hence the freelance projects. Most recently, I am working with Samia Halaby on her foundation and also Reel Palestine. At present, collaborations are important and focusing on impactful projects is key in the visual arts, literature and film.

I have always taken an intersectional approach to my work, linking together arts, culture, and film. I have a masters in Public Diplomacy and view culture as an essential part of nation branding, but more importantly as a part of day to day life. I would love to meet people and think about how we can work on projects together, brainstorm together, and place a special interest on Palestinian narratives where it makes sense. And honestly it’s also nice to be surrounded my likeminded/likehearted individuals when you work solo and don’t have an office to see people and bounce ideas on a daily basis.

I pour my creative energy into my home, focusing on decor and also our humble art collection. I enjoy cooking for friends and family- as well as live music (which can be difficult to find in Dubai). Family time at the beach, parks or art exhibitions is a big part of our weekends.
