I have been working in marketing in the UAE for close to 2 decades (before that in Southeast Asia). I am currently exploring ways to express my creative side to move beyond the confines of a 'hobby'.

Honestly, I long for a UAE-based homegrown platform to connect with a like-minded creative community. I believe the blend of my unique blend of Southeast Asian-Middle Eastern perspective (I'm originally from Indonesia, my husband is Lebanese, and we are raising a third culture kid in a city we call home) and extensive UAE experience in a related field could offer an interesting mix to the 1833 community. I have hosted events professionally and more recently as a board member for the London Business School Women in Business (Gulf chapter) which may be helpful if you'd allow me to contribute to future 1833 initiatives. I seek good design and experiences, but in an authentic way - in the UAE and when I travel (thanks to Monocle Travel). I do hand lettering and sketches during my 'free time' (small window between play time with my toddler Rumi and a full time job), plus exploring interior design. Oh and of course, good food & specialty coffee.
