What is your current career stage and what can help you unlock your next level?
I'm currently an Associate at McKinsey based in the Dubai office, where I focus on projects with cultural and creative sector ministries across the UAE, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia. I'm planning to transition into an industry role within this space and am eager to expand my network among professionals working in culture, heritage, and public sector innovation across the region.
Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate studies in Canada and Switzerland, followed by an MBA at INSEAD in France. I also spent several years working in finance in San Francisco and Dubai before business school.
At this stage of my career, what would truly help unlock the next level is building deeper connections within the MENA creative and public sector community—exchanging ideas, opportunities, and experiences with those shaping the region’s future.
Why would you want to join 1833/١٨٣٣?
I’m drawn to the 1833 Club for its thoughtful blend of culture, conversation, and community. With a background in consulting and investment—and experience working on the ground across the Middle East, Europe, and North America—I bring a global yet grounded perspective on how industries, cities, and institutions are evolving.
My work has spanned public-private transformation, tourism, and sustainability, giving me insight into both high-level strategy and practical, real-world impact. I’m also part of a strong international network through INSEAD and my career in consulting and finance, and would love to contribute that spirit of curiosity, dialogue, and collaboration to the 1833 community.
As a member, I’d use the space to connect with thoughtful, creative individuals, participate in meaningful gatherings, and support ideas that bridge global influence with cultural depth.
What are your creative interests? How do you spend your free time?
On Sundays, I join photography walks organized by Gulf Photo Plus—a small, vibrant community of enthusiasts exploring hidden corners of the UAE through the lens. We capture and share our perspectives, connecting over a shared love of visual storytelling.
I also maintain a personal art studio at Studio Thirteen in Al Quoz, where I experiment with various mediums, including painting and ayna-kari—a traditional Iranian mirror art form inspired by the work of Monir Farmanfarmaian. Every other week, I take private Zoom lessons with a craftsman in Tehran, collaborating with him and his team to develop pieces I aim to exhibit within the next year.
A few times a year, I travel to Tehran to immerse myself in its thriving contemporary art scene, discovering emerging Iranian artists and attending intimate exhibitions in the city’s private galleries.
