Dalia Dogmoch Soubra

Dalia Dogmoch Soubra is a Syrian chef, author, and restaurateur who grew up in Paris and has called Dubai home for over two decades.
She co-founded Kitsch Cupcakes in Beirut in 2005, growing it into a beloved regional brand with six locations across Lebanon, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Alongside her entrepreneurial journey, she created one of the first food blogs in the region in 2010, daliaskitchen.com and spent over 15 years as a food editor at Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, where she shared original recipes and spotlighted the UAE’s local restaurant scene.
Her work has appeared regularly in BBC Good Food, which published her bestselling cookbook 'Food, Love & Life from Dalia’s Kitchen'. Her recipes have also been featured in the international Cook for Syria initiative and cookbook series, contributing to fundraising efforts for Syrian children in partnership with UNICEF. On a global level, Dalia has collaborated with food companies and government entities internationally, including ministries of tourism, using cuisine as a lens to tell stories of culture, identity, and heritage.
In 2022, she founded ZINN Bistro, a French-Mediterranean concept with a distinct Arab soul, which has since expanded into a catering arm serving both private and corporate clients.
Beyond the plate, Dalia approaches food as a form of expression and responsibility, believing it is never neutral, and that what we cook, share, and consume should always reflect an awareness of the world around us.
