1833 creates the conditions for people who may not otherwise meet to spend time together. The programme opens the door. Returning turns introductions into relationships—and a calendar of events into somewhere you belong.

Between 10 and 15 programmes each month, primarily in the UAE. Each format offers a different way to meet, listen, contribute and return.

Some of 1833’s most involved experiences require travel, specialist venues, external practitioners or larger-scale production. These experiences carry a separate fee, always shown before you RSVP.

Our members come from different disciplines, generations and perspectives. What connects them is curiosity, openness and a willingness to participate without ego or posturing.
Every member is also a patron. Through membership, 1833 presents and champions the work of artists and cultural practitioners from across SWANA.
Complete the application on our website. Every section must be completed before your application can be reviewed.
Applications are considered by the membership committee in scheduled review rounds. We will contact you by email once a decision has been made.
No. Every completed application is reviewed by the membership committee.
We consider what each applicant may bring into the room, not simply their profession, profile or following.
We will contact you by email.
If approved, you will have 14 days to activate your membership. Your approval will expire if you do not activate within that period.

These programmes may involve specialist venues, external practitioners, travel or larger-scale production. The price will always be shown before you RSVP.
Members aged 28 and over
AED 838.95 per month, including 5% VAT.
Members aged 27 and under
AED 523.95 per month, including 5% VAT.
Membership begins with a two-month paid trial. If you continue after the trial, your membership becomes a 12-month commitment paid monthly.
Yes. You may cancel through the 1833 app before the end of your two-month paid trial.
If you continue beyond the trial, your 12-month commitment will begin automatically.
Once the trial has ended, your membership is subject to its 12-month commitment.
You can submit your cancellation through the 1833 app at any time. The app will show your membership end date and any remaining payment obligations before you confirm.
Yes. Members may freeze their membership for one month during each membership year.
You can request and manage your freeze through the 1833 app.
Guest access depends on the programme.
Communal Tables are members-only. Where guests are permitted, any allowance or additional fee will be shown before you RSVP.
Most programmes currently take place in the UAE.
Escapes and selected programmes may take place elsewhere. The location will always be shown in the programme listing.
No. Choose what interests you and return regularly enough to get to know the people around you.
You are welcome to come alone. The scheduled programme brings people into the room; membership develops through the conversations and relationships that form around it.
