Nour Hage is a Lebanese-British artist working primarily in textile, installation and digital media. Drawing on the histories, folklore and material cultures of West Asia, her practice explores themes of memory, womanhood and the transmission of knowledge across generations.Through hand-dyeing, weaving, embroidery and research-based making, she examines textiles as vessels of personal and collective storytelling, often incorporating symbols of protection, superstition and belonging rooted in Levantine traditions.
Originally trained as a fashion designer, Hage holds a BFA from the Parsons School of Design in Paris and later transitioned into a multidisciplinary artistic practice. She was the inaugural Jameel Fellow at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (2021–22) and was awarded the Boghossian Foundation Prize in 2014.Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and Leighton House, and has been exhibited internationally in London, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, New York, Miami and Madrid.
