Daneh Buahmad, based in Dubai, has forged a dynamic career that bridges information technology, executive leadership, and fashion entrepreneurship. With a foundation built at Saudi Aramco, she developed expertise in ERP systems, digital transformation, and process optimization, advancing into leadership roles across diverse industries. Alongside her corporate achievements, Daneh founded DANEH, a fashion brand celebrated for its timeless, versatile designs that blend modern tailoring with heritage influences, catering to women balancing professional and personal pursuits. Seamlessly integrating her technical expertise with creative innovation, Daneh empowers others while making a lasting impact in both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds.
Dubai-born designer Omar Al Gurg, founder of "Modu Method," endeavors to blend creativity, community, and functionality in his work, which has garnered some global acclaim. His pieces aspire to solve practical problems with a thoughtful design ethos. Shaped by personal experiences and a dedication to community, his journey includes guidance from his family, architectural studies abroad, and managing Modu alongside his family business upon returning to the UAE.
Through "Modu Method," Al Gurg strives to promote accessible design, expanding its reach globally. Drawing inspiration from his Arab roots, his designs aim to tell meaningful stories, subtly enriching the design landscape. Al Gurg remains committed to accessible design principles, craftsmanship, and storytelling, aiming for his creations to stand out with a unique sense of character.
Sarah Alagroobi is a multidisciplinary artist, socio-anthropological researcher and educator with an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London. She explores notions of culture and identity in both Arab and Western contexts through post-colonial discourse. Her practice mines personal and collective experiences that portray an agile simplicity in expression of place, borders and a sense of belonging. She is the founder of the online platform The Letters Project, as well as the host of The Native Informant Podcast that focuses on cultural climate of the Arab region. Her work has gathered the attention of leading outlets such as VICE Arabia, VOGUE Arabia, Cannes Film Festival, Somerset House, Salone del Mobile, Warehouse421, Art Jameel, Art Dubai and Abu Dhabi Art.
